How cool is decorating with a little home gallery the space just above a bench? I love this way of squeezing art in a place where you can see it from a very close point of view, while reading a book or sipping tea. It seems the paintings get the power to enter your own life.

Memories

What about a memory corner? If you're a vintage lover this could be a great way to create a memorabilia wall. Chose a time you love, Reinassance, steampunk objects from the Industrial revolution, Romanticism or whatever you like. Then start collecting or go fetch anything you can find related to this period. Illustrations, pictures and portraits can be mixed up with similar frames and a painted background. Here they are all gathered in the corner walls of a staircase.

Hello Spring and Petals

Welcome to that peculiar time of the year when new energies are about to be born, when the sun lingers longer and we just crave outdoor pleasures. But also time to open the windows and let fresh air in, to clear up and declutter, get rid of burdens and redecorate.
It's the time when flowers bloom on the paper on my desk, where colors and light trace bright nature inspired patterns.Tulip, lilac, rose, daisy, daffodil, hyacint, primrose, periwinkle petals. 
Tender leaves with a surprisingly strong scent that can be found in hidden pathways through groves or scattered on the fields.
This series of original watercolor paintings measures 8.6x8.4 inches/ 22x21,4 centimeters, is made on a 100% cotton paper made in Italy and is already availabale in my shop.

Benvenuta in quel particolare momento dell'anno in cui nuove energie stanno per nascere, quando il sole si attarda sul giorno e desideriamo goderci le giornate all'aperto. Ma anche tempo di aprire le finestre e far entrare aria fresca, liberare la nostra vita e i luoghi che abitiamo da inutili pesi.
Ecco perchè sono sbocciati fiori sulla carta del mio tavolo, dove colori e luce tracciano disegni ispirati alla natura. Petali di tulipano, lillà, margherita, narciso, giacinto, rosa, pervinca, primula. Foglie tenere con un profumo sorprendentemente forte, che si possono trovare nei sentieri del bosco o sparsi nei prati.
Questa serie di acquerelli originali su carta misura 22x21,4 centimetri, è fatta su carta italiana 100% cotone ed è già disponibile in negozio.

Animal trophies can be disturbing objects at first sight, still there is a tradition of respect for the animal in the art of taxidermy. But if you don't love the idea to hang the head of a dead animal in your home (and I'd personally prefer not to), remember that trophies can be made out of many materials like ceramics, paper or wood, and they are easy to find being particularly in vogue. Also, I've come across wonderful art trophies made by very talented artists. Here the trophy and the head of a woman are mixed up with more traditional paintings and create a very stylish composition.

I trofei animali sono oggetti che possono creare repulsione, nonostante ci sia una tradizione di rispetto dell'animale nell'arte della tassidermia. Ma se, come me, non amate l'idea di appendere la testa di un animale morto in casa, ricordate che i trofei possono essere fatti di molti materiali, come la ceramica, la carta o il legno, e si trovano facilmente essendo particolarmente di moda. Inoltre, mi è capitato di vedere fantastici trofei d'arte, creati da artisti eccellenti. Qui il trofeo e la testa di una donna sono mescolati a dipinti più tradizionali e creano una composizione molto elegante.

What you want to keep in mind is that, whatever you will choose for your little home gallery, it will represent you in this moment: your spirit, your taste, your vision of life or your goal, and even something you are not still coscious of. Those artworks will be a visual manifesto of your life at the present stage. Moreover, you will see those images every day, so be sure to pick something that you particularly like, not just the first thing you come across with. No matter the price. If you ask me, I answer zen. This is perfectly my style, especially for decorating the bedroom. where a simple, evocative image, can stand alone in a clean and empty space to be filled with dreams, emotions, meditation.

Now those plates have come into fashion again, thanks to a great design renewal many manufacturers made during the last years. And there are many artists painting on plates. Nei ricordi di bambina ci sono salottini un po' austeri con collezioni di piatti alle pareti, appartenenti alle amiche della nonna. When it comes to diplaying art, we do have infinite options to consider, here is the first one coming to my mind. Just one single, large artwork, can be a perfect solution for decorating any interior. It will particularly fit a relatively small space, thus avoiding it to "swim" and get lost in a bare wall.
